Rose Hughes displayed quilts from her collection
"The Embellished Path."
Rose Hughes, quilt artist and author, enjoys traveling and discovering pathways. She set off many years ago to free herself and other fabric artists from the confining shapes of squares and blocks. This journey led her to the Fast-Piece Appliqué™ method she developed. Now Rose’s quilt journey continues to take her off in search of new ways to embellish her quilts. This exhibit is collection of quilt art that expresses her favorite finds she has discovered on this E-ticket ride, (that’s “E” for embellishment!). You may find the methods used in these quilts and other in Rose’s two books, Dream Landscapes & Exploring Embellishments.
